Bill Ezell - CEO and Founder, SVP Business Development
Bill is an accomplished business development professional with 30 years experience in various markets. Bill’s unique blend of tactical skills and strategic vision have developed and launched products and services generating millions in revenue. Since 2001, Bill’s disciplined approach to revenue growth has produced innovative programs to validate revenue strategies that combine strategy with market validation that drive funding and revenue momentum including;

  • Developed white papers to establish the business case for clients considering global communication systems. Developed internal workflow from pre-sales to support used for support of 6 global clients generating millions of dollars in recurring revenue.
  • Promoted to new major account organizations (TYMNET, 3Com, Nortel).
  • Developed workflow and processes to engage and close sustaining revenue. Integrated an acquired business unit into existing revenue practices at 3Com.
  • Closed $4.6M in new business with the largest single order in company’s history (3Com)
  • Revenue responsibility for several startups

Bill’s education includes a BS in Business form San Jose State. Bill also attended Condie College Golden Gate’s MBA program in Telecomm Mgmt. Bill is a member of various organizations associated with the improvement of revenue growth processes for emerging growth companies.

 

Dave Dunne, GM European Operations

David is an excellent communicator, enthusiastic motivator, and margin builder with strong focus on building sustainable business. He has developed strategic leadership skills with ability to read both market and business drivers. Good delegator and excellent team builder in Sales and Operations.

Dave has extensive technical experience in Telecommunications and IT, is a great listener and has extensive problem solving skills with business and organizational challenges.

IIndustrial and Commercial Knowledge
With twenty five plus years experience in the ICT sector David has an excellent knowledge of the industry at international levels. He has been responsible for driving change in major engagements.

As VP Services in Lucent World Wide Services for EMEA and CEO of Lucent Irish operations, Dave was responsible for driving change within major engagements. Lucent was the largest global vendor at that time. Dave also led recruiting and training of Sales Teams, developed sales and sales management processes and led development of initiatives to position services as a strategic activity.

Dave also led the Tellabs Global Services group in EMEA and focused on building a Service Business culture to drive change in the organisation at a global level.

Summary:

  • Experienced in building Sales and Sales Operations teams, including P&L, Funnel Management, and Team building and coaching.
  • Successful engagements with T-Mobile, Oragne, Vodafone, France Telecom, Telefonica, British Telcom, KPN, Deutsche Telekom, Comcast, Verizon and others.
  • IT and data networking engagements with enterprise customers in such areas as agri-food, building materials, banking, insurance and pharmaceuticals.

P&L and Governance
David has also managed at board level reporting to Venture Capital funders and entrepreneurs. He has been involved in several business turnarounds through consulting engagements including coaching and mentoring of management.
Always focused on P&L he built and led Services Teams including Support, Implementation, Professional Services and Network Operations Centres, building a $400m business in two years.

Previously in US Robotics and 3Com he developed the Carrier Services business and sold Services to Direct Customers and Channel Partners across Europe while managing the merger of both companies’ service departments.

IIn previous companies responsible for Sales and delivery of Services, and TQM for Sales, Operations and R&D.

He has also been instrumental in restructuring a major pension fund, while a trustee to ensure legal and governance commitments were met.

Government
David has accompanied Government on overseas trips including the USA to support Foreign Direct Investment in Ireland. He has the ability to develop a strong strategic view which supports the Company the Business and the National requirements. He has family background in the trade union and political arena while not being personally linked to any one political agenda. This will enables negotiation at departmental and senior Government level as having a connected view of the stakeholders agendas is his forte.

People
Focusing on the development of people and coaching them to their full potential, he believes leadership is the key to the success of any venture and that the leader should be visible, in front of, communicating with and encouraging the team.

He believes the leader should at all times leverage the creativity of the team and challenging them to excel. Having been involved in significant downsizing he understands the value of managing the process of restructuring to enable the business move forward rather than cripple it with negative and fearful overhang.

He understands the value of open communication to the team, amongst the team and to the various stakeholders. He expects team leaders to work together, with focus, energy and commitment.

While deeply curious about people David works well under pressure and has a great sense of humour.

 

Joe Heaney - VP Business Development
Joe Heaney is an Angel investor, Entrepreneur and Business Leader with proven leadership in such diverse industries as consumer goods, cleantech, personal transportation vehicles, construction, retail and manufacturing. He has been CEO of 3 private companies and has served on a number of private and non-profit Boards. He has proven success in general management, marketing, sales, operations and international business with Fortune 500, start-up and turnaround companies. His expertise is in assessing the real issues in a business then developing a strategy to achieve the best combination of product, technology, and distribution strategy, with a profitable business model and long-term, sustainable competitive advantage. Joe understands how to build and deliver shareholder value, navigating through seven successful acquisitions/divestitures.

 

Ed Kress - VP Technology Practice
Ed is a Business Development and Strategy Professional with 14 years of experience and strategic successes in mobile wireless. Ed was the co-founder of Backhaul Strategy Consultants and Managing Director of Business Development where he focused on the emerging field of backhaul optimization.

Prior to that Ed ran Sprint’s applied research business development effort delivering state of the art innovation in wireless. In the business development roll at Sprint, Ed focused on technology transfer and full life cycle project development from concept innovation to commercialization. Several of his research projects focused on backhaul and how to reduce the tremendous cost incurred by wireless providers.

Ed has expertise in product origination and implementation, intellectual property management and liaising with customers, executives and investors.

 

Gary Wolf - Delivery Manager
Gary is a results-oriented consultant with over 30 years of extensive sales, sales operations support and analysis experience and is Lean Sigma Certified. Gary spent 22 years with IBM in Sales Operations and direct sales where he successfully managed a multi-million dollar territory Gary possesses extensive analytical and problem-solving skills. He has implemented a number of seamlessly optimized programs and supporting processes. Gary has also created, trained, deployed, and managed a cross-business sales process measurement and management program. He is an enthusiastic team player, goal driven achiever, with a ‘can do’ attitude with ighly effective presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
